Ugh, still sick today, and had a rotten night of sleep. I know I must have slept for some longer stretches, but at this point it feels like I never managed to sleep for more than 20 minutes at a time, thanks to congestion and a really sore throat.
Still no sign of the baby, though I am all achy and crampy this morning. This may have more to do with the bad night of sleep I got that the baby's arrival though.
One blessing is that Sam slept very well last night. Neither Chris nor I had to go down and tend to him in the night, and I didn't hear any bad coughing fits. His fever seems to be either gone or minimal this morning, which is great, though I can already tell that he's going to keep us on our toes today.
So far Chris seems to have avoided getting this cold, though he's not up yet--who knows how he'll feel when he wakes up?
One thing I'm a little worried about now is having to compete with another client for our doula's time. Apparently one of Exie's clients had a false alarm on Friday night and was sent home from the hospital with a diagnosis of false labor. I think this client isn't as far along as me, but I'm worried that we'll end up in labor at the same time. If that does happen, whoever calls Exie first has dibs, and the other client will work with another doula that she partners with. I'm regretting not having set up a meeting with the other doula to meet her. Hopefully it will be a non-issue and Exie can be with us, but I will also trust that Exie has a good partner who will work well with us.
Anyhow, keep your fingers crossed for us that I start feeling better today, the baby comes soon, and that Sam isn't too much of a handful today!
