So last night my sister Katy called to inform me that Jennifer Garner had given birth (Katy: "I'm just sayin'"), and that, no pressure, but, it'd be ideal for her if I had the baby either in the next few days or after next Wednesday due to her work/class schedule. Since she's got to drive in from Chicago, I do understand her concern, and it was all said with good humor, but I think I detected an undercurrent of grim seriousness. Should I be scared? I think I counted at least 2 dozen instances of the phrase "no pressure" in the 15 minute conversation we had.
Anyhow, Katy, I'll do what I can, but as Sam proved, sometimes you're just stuck waiting.
P.S. The photo has nothing to do with the baby's arrival, but I do think it's a nice picture of the two of us, showing how very serious we are about roasting our marshmallows properly. It was taken this summer on Drummond Island.
No pressure! :) I know if I'm anxious about the baby then you must be 100 times more anxious. I will be there for you when the time comes.
