Wish Me Luck! I'm Getting Back on Board the Weight Watchers Train.

I've decided to start back up with Weight Watchers Online, starting tomorrow. Prior to getting pregnant, I spent about 6 months following Weight Watchers and successfully (and fairly painlessly) lost more than 50 pounds. While pregnant with Fiona, I watched all of that weight I'd lost creep back, and ended up back at my starting weight by the time I was full-term. The good news is that within 2 weeks of giving birth, I had dropped 30 of the 50 pounds that I gained while pregnant. Fiona didn't weight 3o pounds at birth, so I think that nursing helped with this initial weight loss.

I haven't been making entirely healthy food choices, but seem to be holding steady at the 30 pound weight loss. I think that if I switch over to healthier food choices, I have a fairly good shot at getting close to my pre-pregnancy weight by the time I return to work in late March. The biggest difficulty will be the fact that I'm a bit cooped up at the moment and apt to graze during the day, but having Weight Watchers to keep me honest should help.

I have to say, I think the Weight Watchers Online system is perfect for me. I'm not a meetings person, particularly now that I've got not one but two kids to wrangle. The online tools provided are excellent, and I particularly like that I can add my own recipes and have the site calculate points for me. I have thousands of recipes available through the site, as well as a number of other resources. In all, I think it's a bargain for the $17/month that I get charged.

Anyhow, wish me luck! I'm not looking forward to cutting back drastically on french fries, but I really loved finally making it out of plus-sized clothing last year and want to make sure that I get back to that state sometime soon. I never got a chance to enjoy bathing suit weather with my newly slim body last summer, so hopefully I can live it up this summer. : )
